Staying On Track with 2017 Resolutions

A few years ago I decided to get up early to go to the gym. Let me rephrase – I decided to get up at what I generally consider the middle of the night –  to go to the gym (4:45 am to be exact). Optimistically I thought working out then would be a great way to exercise more intensely. I can’t express enough how frustrated and annoyed I was during dragging myself out of the house.

My new habit only lasted for few weeks before the cold of winter, darkness and the fact that I’m not really a morning person won out over my desire to be more fit.

I wish I knew then what I know now about achieving goals and success. I would have saved myself weeks of guilt and beating myself up because I felt like a such a failure.

I didn’t know that it wasn’t willpower that helps you succeed.

January has flown by and I can’t believe we’re already a week into  February! I know I have made a few adjustments in order to meet my goals. A few awesome opportunities have unexpectedly shown up and stepping back to review my goals and priorities so I can make the best choices.
