A Loyal Society - Wellness in a Box

Krista

A Loyal Society's mission is to create luxurious self-care gift boxes for you and those you cherish, with a sense of elegance and ease.

What was the inspiration to start this business?

I started A Loyal Society when I became a new mom and realized how easy it can become for self care to fall off of your self care list as you step into that amazing new role as a mother. I was inspired to create all-natural self care boxes, sort of like a spa in a box, that were soothing and provided little moments of luxury that could be used in a few minutes for relaxation.

I am passionate about self care, wellness and having more ease in our lives as dynamic women. I also love being creative and curating products for others to indulge in and enjoy. As the mom of a young child, I am also a huge advocate for women and moms finding simple ways to bring more balance into our lives with self care routines that bring us moments of relaxation and reflection.

We are now preparing to add a subscription box to our website, in addition to our current product lineup. I'm really excited to share that with everyone in June!

When you started your business, did you ever envision that you would be where you are now?

I am so excited about where A Loyal Society is today and for where we are heading! I initially started out by creating relaxation candles and things have really elevated, in terms of our product line, since that point to now offer gift boxes filled with self care essentials.

Was there ever a time that things didn't fall into place, struggles, or challenges? What were they and how did you get passed it and grow from the experience?

Throughout the pandemic, there have been so many lessons! At the beginning of the pandemic, we had to learn how to operate around limited supplies and shipping challenges back. I was determined to figure things out to meet and exceed the needs of our clients, so that is what kept me going when things got challenging.

What was the biggest lesson you learned while starting and growing this business?

I learned to become even more creative and flexible in approaching challenges. The past couple of years have taught me to look for silver linings and opportunities to create new solutions for our business and to serve our clients.

What would you tell a FEM that is struggling in her business and feel like it's too difficult?

I would encourage them to take a few days to rest, remind yourself of why you started, reset and then keep going!

If you've had the mission and vision for your business in your heart, it means that it came to you for a reason and that you can absolutely do what is needed to bring it to life. You really do already have what it takes!

I would also encourage them to network in person and virtually and to also be vocal with friends and family about things you need help with for your business or may have a contact who can help you! You'd be surprised how many people want to support what you are doing and can uplift you in those tougher moments.

What continues to inspire you to keep on growing your business?

I am inspired by how dynamic and strong women and moms are on a daily basis. I absolutely love having the opportunity to help them make time to recharge and take care of themselves throughout their busiest of days.

Final advice for those thinking of starting a business or looking to grow their current business?

A piece of advice that has helped me is to celebrate your wins, no matter how small or big, each day and to take small steps every day to start or expand your business. It helps to build the momentum to bring your ideas to life and seeing that progress really helps to keep you encouraged as you go!
