Fabienne Jacquet // Empowering businesses to grow their sales + retain their talents

Tell us in a few sentences how your brand helps others?

Through workshops, speaking, consulting and coaching, I empower businesses of any size to sustainably grow their sales and retain their talents by building or leveraging their innovation capabilities. I also support individuals and teams at creating their future. Complementing data-driven processes, my unique approach unleashes human creativity, emphasizing feminine energy like empathy, intuition, nurturing, inclusivity and collaboration.

What was your initial inspiration that got you to where you are today?

As a scientist, turned marketer, turned founder, and now book author, I am an innovator through and through! During my 30+ years corporate career in Fortune 500 companies, I constantly analyzed innovation and came to the conclusion that it requires both masculine and feminine energies to be successful: the masculine for the processes and analytical aspect, and the feminine for human creativity. That last part is unfortunately still overlooked in business, innovation being primarily driven by processes and performance. In addition, we live in a world where innovation is led by men, even when it comes to innovating for women... In a parallel way, my personal journey made me a more centered and happier human being by rebalancing my energy from masculine toward feminine.

When you started your most recent path, did you ever envision that you would be where you are now?

Absolutely not! I was envisioning a classical consulting career in innovation dealing with big corporations. Then some changes happened, both in the world and in my personal life, and I ended up writing a book - which I never thought I would be able to do! - and now I am creating a video course based on the book to empower teens to innovate their future. This new direction towards education and personal development was unexpected.

Was there ever a time that things didn't fall into place, struggles or challenges? What were they and how did you get past it and grow from the experience?

Yes, of course, numerous times! For instance, despite my 30+ years of innovation experience, when I approached prospects - especially men - they asked for proofs that my company INNOVEVE worked, including a list of clients, which of course was not appropriate as I was just starting my company. Not to mention that my "feminine energy" approach was a big turn off for some of them. To overcome this, I worked with a mentor in business consulting and joined several women business associations to get the right support on how to address these challenges. I also "went with the flow" and stayed open to unexpected opportunities, like writing a book as I did, which brought a lot of credibility to my practice.

What was the biggest lesson you learned during this journey?

That I have unique skills that are valued and just need the right environment and opportunities to flourish.

What would you tell a FEM that is struggling in her business and feeling like it's too difficult?

Never give up, believe in you! As a woman, you do have specific skills that are precious in your business and that you need to leverage to bring your unique gift to this world.

What continues to inspire you to keep on growing your business?

The positive feedback I get on my book and video course project, from a very diverse crowd of people, which means that my proposition has a universal appeal. Also the joy and passion at pursuing my dreams despite (or perhaps because!) the challenges.

Final advice for those thinking of starting a business or looking to grow their current business?

Don't let anyone discourage you in your journey. Do not look back, be bold and push forward, success may not happen the way you envisioned it, or may present itself under an unexpected angle.
