About Kat // Kat Barrow-Horth is the owner of Robin Rile Fine Art and founder of Comic Kids, a Miami-based nonprofit whose mission is to help children in vulnerable communities learn art through comics and cartoons by donating art classes, art books, and art supplies to kids who need it most. Kat has taught thousands of children how to draw comic and cartoon characters, and works with organizations such as Nicklaus Children's Hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lotus House Shelter for Women, and Voices for Children, among others. Kat is a member of the Beaux Arts Organization which benefits the Lowe Art Museum at University of Miami and has sat on their Board of Directors for community outreach engaging children from Title I schools giving tours and art classes to these kids. After a recent feature on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kat and her husband Reed partnered with Scholastic Books to get books and graphic novels into the hands of vulnerable children in South Florida. In November 2023, Kat released her first three Comic Kids art books teaching children how to draw, and plans to create an entire line of books to make art education accessible to more children.
