Deb Coviello // The Drop in CEO

Tell us in a few sentences how your brand helps others?

A trusted partner to C-Suite Leaders, Deb brings 30+ years of experience and strategy in Quality and Operational Excellence roles combined with her 20 years in the Flavors and Fragrance industry to support her clients as they work together to identify, assess, and solve the issues that are preventing their business growth.

What was your initial inspiration that got you to where you are today?

Having the faith in myself that I could move from Corporate with my experience and provide value to people who value my work and approach. Once I found I could connect with C-Suite Leaders of Today and Tomorrow as well as learn how to build a brand, The Drop In CEO, there was no turning back. Also, bright lights were a theme during my transition, hence the name of my business entity: Illumination Partners, LLC

When you started your most recent path, did you ever envision that you would be where you are now?

I had faith in myself to create a strategy and execute it. I was very intentional about building my own platform including a website, podcast and book. What I didn't realize was the challenges of finding the target audience and the on-going business development process to be seen, heard and respected. I'm still on a journey and still vividly see bright lights and a stage for me; impacting more people than I can imagine.

Was there ever a time that things didn't fall into place, struggles or challenges? What were they and how did you get past it and grow from the experience?

Persistence, experimentation and confidence are what have gotten me through the lower times when cash flow and client funnel challenged me. That challenge now keeps me highly focused on this area for which I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's challenging, but when you believe in yourself and the purpose, it propels you forward.

What would you tell a FEM that is struggling in her business and feeling like it's too difficult?

Pause and give yourself space to think. Don't always be doing. Those pauses while scary are what you need for clarity. During the lows, when I slowed down, I started to see signs from the universe regarding the course corrections needed.

What continues to inspire you to keep on growing your business?

The people that I impact are fuel for my purpose. When someone says I inspired them, or "we couldn't have done it without you", I remember those and they encourage me to keep going.

Final advice for those thinking of starting a business or looking to grow their current business?

See the destiny and trust yourself along the way to figure out how. The right people will show up at the right time.
