Paige Brown // Epic Performance Coaching

Tell us in a few sentences how your brand helps others?

I help Entrepreneurs and Executives find balance in the overwhelm and make the shift into clarity, focus and success.

What was your initial inspiration that got you to where you are today?

I went through periods of difficulties in my 20's, like a lot of us do, but also experienced a lot of failed therapy. Therapists that were not out for the betterment of people but rather for the mark up of the insurance. I decided that I really wanted to help people and decided to go into the field of counseling. After 12 years, I hit a wall and truly was experiencing burn out. The lack of pay and respect was really difficult to deal with. In 2019 I began to explore options. Online coaching was never even on my radar. When I found it I immediately looked into certification programs and fell in love with the idea of making my own hours and pay while also getting to serve a new audience of people. As I began working in the coaching space I realized that more than ever, Entrepreneurs and Executives needed the most support and often were the last to ask for it. Over the last year and a half I have developed my program to assist so many who feel stressed, overwhelmed and unbalanced to clear, focused and successful.

When you started your most recent path, did you ever envision that you would be where you are now?

No, I never thought I would be working with the audience I am working with or have the success I have now.

Was there ever a time that things didn't fall into place, struggles or challenges? What were they and how did you get past it and grow from the experience?

Yes. When I started in coaching and really running my own business, I had no background in marketing, pricing, scaling; anything really that pertained to running a successful online business. I would constantly have to search for clients, often settling for those that I did not want to serve. I vastly under valued my services and had to spend hours educating myself in marketing and business tactics. I got through my client search fails and pricing by hiring a business coach myself. I recognized that the investment in myself was worth it and in 8 weeks my entire business shifted. With the marketing and business tactics, I simply read a lot and attended as many masterminds and networking events as I could. Immersion in the world was how I finally realized that I could hold my own and I did know what I was talking about. Never be afraid to ask questions, jump in, and not know things. Having them explained to you and learning from those who came before you is invaluable.

What was the biggest lesson you learned during this journey?

Anyone can do this if they are brave enough to explore their own failings and work through them. It truly inspires me to see all the amazing women out there doing their thing that makes them unique, powerful and valued.

What continues to inspire you to keep on growing your business?

I set goals for myself. I want to challenge myself to meet those goals and try new things. Each win I have fuels me to the next thing. I love seeing where I have come from and where I am going. The people that I help along this journey also inspire me every day. I love seeing their wins and often feel like they are my own. I love seeing their triumphs and victories as they navigate their own mindset barriers and overcome the things stopping them from gaining personal and professional success.

What would you tell a FEM that is struggling in her business and feeling like it's too difficult?

I would ask them, is it the business that is too difficult or are you standing in your own way? We often think that when we don't know something that it is too difficult and we give up; when in reality it is new and different and may take a different thought process or understanding to digest and move through. What is standing in your way? Do you feel you are good enough? And if the answer is no, then move forward by working on your own triggers first so that your personal growth can start. If we have not grown personally we can not grow professionally. Our mindset is who we are and if that isn't in the right state , we cannot be successful professionally until we are successful personally.

Final advice for those thinking of starting a business or looking to grow their current business?

What are you truly passionate about? What problem do you desperately want to solve? And if you want this solved, do other people? IF you can find that ONE thing that gets you excited to work on everyday, you will never feel like you work a day in your life. You will never lack purpose or value again. AND you will never truly fail. You will always win or you will learn.
